A rope is a trim. Where it is sewn decides whether the cap survives.

Why we exist

This category is bought on a photograph of a silhouette everybody already has, so it is competed on price, and the savings come out of exactly the three things above.

We specify the rope attachment, the foam density, the panel backing and the sweatband on every quote. None of it is expensive. It is simply not what a race to the lowest unit price produces.

What we actually make

Classic rope truckers with a structured foam front and an open-weave mesh back. Structured six-panel caps with buckram backing and a crown height chosen for the mark. Unstructured washed-twill caps that pack flat and mould to the head. Performance caps in wicking polyester with a tested UPF rating where sun is the point. Twin and custom-dyed ropes colour-matched to a brand and proved on a physical swatch. And seasonal fabrics — camo, heather knit, corduroy, waxed cotton, quilted — with the decoration method chosen to suit the material.

We re-digitise artwork per cap rather than reusing one file across structured and soft crowns, because a stitch file built for foam does not run well on washed twill.

On what we will talk you out of

Dense embroidery on a very light performance fabric. A wide logo across the centre seam of a six-panel. Fine stitching on corduroy. A flat brim for a members’ club whose average age is sixty.

Each of those is a cheerful yes from most suppliers and a cap nobody wears. We would rather propose the version that gets worn.
